Adesa Bernese Mountain Dogs

HI I'm Bobbi Kinley-Blewett. Let me tell you a little about us and Adesa.

I was born into dogs as my parents bred Afghan Hounds and German Shepherds in the 60's and 70's. I have been involved with Bernese for over 25 years. My parents Bob and Carolyn Kinley of Shersan Kennels purchased their first Berner In 1974. They later purchased AM and Can CH Shersan Change O Pace V Haildom CD from Penny Parliman. Pace became the top winning Berner in breed history. He and I won the Working Group at the Garden in 1986. He is the first Bernese and the only male to have won the group there. That was my most memorable win! What a thrill. I was 24 and it was our dog!!! Mom and dad continue to breed Bernese and have over 100 champions to their credit.

For the next 5 years or so I had the great fortune to handle many of the best dogs to be shown in this country. Being able to work with these great dogs taught me what I wanted in a Berner and helped me learn where to get it.

I married my husband Bill Blewett in 1993. Bill and Carol Bernard Bergmann bought "checkers" our foundation bitch from Skylyn Bernese, Chris McLean in 1995 and Justin was born in 96. Together we have built Adesa. In the first 9 years we have finished over 50 dogs championships, bred or owned by Adesa. We have had the number one female in the USA in 2001,2002, 2003 and 2005 with four different girls and the number one male in the USA in 2003, 2004 and 2006.

As you tour our Site you will realize we have tried to be very conscientious in our breeding program to produce Berners that conform to the standard and that are healthy and sound in both body and mind. We welcome questions and enjoy sharing information.
